I'm Someone

I'm feeling so alone inside So worthless that I should hide Not a girl sees a man in me This isn't how it should be Ladies look at me, shrug and laugh They think I am not man enough What sacrifices should I make So they stop seeing me as weak? I am 19 for heaven's sake! And I'll be 20 next week My heart's been battered and halved I don't deserve to have them groove it I can give love and get loved I only need a chance to prove it I am someone, I am human I need affection because I'm human I keep growing by the day And discovering new things And I only came to say ‘Free me, give me my wings’
